Ramadan build, secure and ensured a deep connection with Allah:

Ramadan’s purpose isn’t just to elevate our Imaan or belief for 30 days only or throughout the month, rather; it’s a preparation for our souls, ensuring we hold tightly the rope of Allah throughout the year even after Ramadan is over.

Its unique way of deepening our connection with Allah is indescribable. Remaining fasting, Quran recitation, Tarawih at night, I’tekaf, Sadaqa, Qiyam Ul Lyle, Dhikr, Zaqat, and other acts of worships offer a full package for having an unbreakable bond with the Creator, Allah. It’s an awesome way to build a connection as a slaver of Allah.

Learning from Charity During Ramadan’s Zaqat

Donation, charity activities during the whole month is a very rewarding work for Muslims. Donation wipe out our sins and put out Allah anger upon us. Muslim offer Zakat which means a payable amount to the poor and distressed people of the community. Zakat is a duty through which we serve Allah by serving His creatures. When you serve through your Zakat, you align your intention with justice, compassion and obedience to Allah. Zaqat keep away the essence of capitalism and let the capital circulate throughout from hands to hands which actually play a great role in economy by dissipating the acute discrimination within poor and rich community.

Allah says in Quran,

“Take from their wealth to purify and bless them” (Qur’an 9:103)

Ramadan for All

Grabbing the fear of the Almighty, the most powerful Allah:

Human beings are the best creature of ALLAH. We are created so that we can serve the Allah’s advices according to HIS instructed ways. We are slavers to Allah. Ramadan teaches us to fear Allah as a supreme powerful. What we do is not unseen by Allah- no matter where we are and how powerful we are. During this sacred month, we refrain from food and humanly desires from dawn to dusk only to please Allah. It’s only for Allah’s fear as HE instructed to do it.

“Allah is always watching me, HE is ever watchful”- this fear makes me refrain from taking any foods, even a sip of water from dawn to dusk. By this way, Ramadan actually instills and reminding us the fear of Allah in our hearts to stay away from sins and wrongdoings.

Upgrading perseverance and passion:

In this ephemeral world, human life is full of moments that test our patience. Whether it is waiting for the right opportunity, dealing with difficult people, or facing hardships, human life doesn’t always get easier way to face those moments effectively. Ramadan is the perfect training session for learning resiliency because it offers us a 30 days intense course.

When the world is still asleep, the Muslim wake up for Sahri, at evening they wait for Iftar. Standing in long Tarawih prayers after a fasting & tiring day; Ramadan teaches us the commitment, patience, persistence, and unwavering, constant commitment to the Islamic norms. “Devotion and tolerating hardships are the keys to becoming a better Muslim”- Ramadan teaches us this every year.

Strengthening Community Bonding:

Community's Successors

Standing side-by-side with others during Tarawih bridges the people from poor to rich and reminds us to accept and support everyone in the Muslim Ummah, regardless of their status and social power.

And again, spending the last 10 days of the month in Iteqaf fosters a sense of brotherhood and gives us the scope to connect with people of all stages in the Muslim community. The conversations during and after all prayers including Jumma, dua, and sharing foods during Iftar help strengthen our bonds with loved ones and the community. It’s also the perfect time to visit Visiting with a plate of Iftar to neighbors is actually enhance love and joy with dispersing Allah’s kindness.

Learning of expressing appreciation and gratitude:

During or before breaking fasting, even a glass of water feels priceless to us because of our acute feeling to thirst. This learning is invaluable gift from Allah. Ramadan offers us how to express appreciation for the things to Allah for his giving food, family, and even time to us to be righteous.

Instruct us for maintain discipline and mindfulness:

Ramadan teaches us to manage of our whims and desires. Whether it’s resisting the urge to eat or holding back an unpleasant scolding words, we learn to control ourselves. We can eat out of any person’s view. But we don’t do it just because of Allah’s fear. Allah is observing all activities- this sense keeps us away from any misdeeds. It’s really a very high discipline and devotion to Allah.

Caring to the unprivileged and deprived:

Ramadan offers us how to be kind and generous to the people who are poor and have hardships to manage their lives. Sharing Iftar and Sahri foods really make us come closure to each other. Society become a piece of Haven as if there is no discrimination and conflict of interests.

All are equal

Offers healthy Living:

Modern science, after many researches permitted, finally acknowledge that Ramadan’s fasting for long periods during the day can help fight against cancer cells, burn unhealthy fat, and boost immunity for Muslims. It is now clear to all that practicing food moderation for 30 days in a year in Ramadan can help break bad food habits, like cravings for oily, processed, and junk foods which actually not good for our health.

Does Ramadan influence world community except Muslims:

Ramadan doesn’t limit us sharing the foods during Iftar and Sahri within Muslim community also. All religion, people, age, sex can participate and share the foods during Iftar and Sahri. This sharing definitely promotes the inclusive community responsibility in multicultural societies. Ramadan, many times can play an ideal role among global leaders for halting activities that actually go against humanity. Ceasefire is also a possible offering from Ramadan that can be feasible by taking discussion among the debating groups worldwide. Thus, these endless activities are the beauty of Ramadan which not only is kept within Muslim communities but also worldwide communities.

Islam is not only a religion and Allah hasn’t sent Quran only for Muslim. Instead, Prophet Mohammad (Sm.) and HIS bestowed Holy book ‘Quran’ is for all communities in the world.

Allah says in Quran:

"...Today I have perfected for you your religion (way of life) and completed My blessings upon you and have chosen Islam as your religion.”: Sura Al Maidah (5:3)

So, in conclusion, I can say that Quran is not a Holy book only but a complete way of life and a constitution for the world. Quran came in the month of this Ramadan. So, Ramadan’s importance and beauty is indescribable. Ramadan holds Muslim communities by its strict values and beyond the Muslims it actually evokes the whole world by welcoming them to be blessed From Allah. As a human being, you should explore more so that the pure lesson shouldn’t be veiled.
